Shortly after Coach Derek Dooley was hired someone over in the UT Athletic/Sports Information Department secured a Twitter account for the new coach. Since that time, TwitterVols everywhere have anxiously waited for Coach Dooley to join the Vol Nation online.
Given that our wait went from days to weeks to months, I for one wondered if Coach simply wouldn’t have time to send us any 140 character shout-outs. Fortunately, as of today, TwitterVols your wait has ended:

Ask the Coach
Last month I visited the offices of Voices Heard Media to gain insight on the company’s fan-enabling technology behind the new Ask the Coach feature at UTSports.com.
If you haven’t seen or used Ask the Coach, it is a widget that allows you, the fan, to interact with Coach Kiffin on The Coach Lane Kiffin Show. The widget lets you ask questions which are then voted on by other fans with the most popular questions getting answered by Coach Kiffin on the show. Adding to the widget’s interactivity, Coach Kiffin’s individual answers are then made available for easy sharing on social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Read the rest of this entry »

The outcome of today’s game between the number one ranked Florida Gators and the unranked Tennessee Volunteers was much different than my greatest fears. I saw a Tennessee team which maximized their strengths and minimized their weaknesses. The players never gave up, and the coaches had them prepared to play in what many on today’s sports radio were calling the most hostile environment they had ever seen. Read the rest of this entry »
