Capitalizing on Lane Kiffin’s abrupt departure from UT one week ago today, everyone’s favorite UT B-Baller/Rapper, Renaldo Woolridge/Swiperboy, has turned lemonade into YouTube gold. Only four days old, Never Leave You Like Kiffin has already received 56,966 views.
According to Swiperboy, that’s enough views for the song to currently rank #4 in views on YouTube. I can’t confirm that, but I can say that we certainly enjoy his rhymes. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, enjoy:
Now that we’re midway into the 2009 SEC Football Season, it is time to do a round-up and analysis of the SEC Head Football Coaches on Twitter. As others have mentioned before, this 2009 football season is the first UT Football season on Twitter. The micro-blogging service has gotten enough mainstream adoption by sports fans and coaches to merit “sports + Twitter” as an emerging phenomena.
With regards to SEC Football, the head coaches are no different than many other celebrities who have taken to “tweeting.” Twitter allows coaches (and perhaps any ghost writers who tweet for them) to energize their fanbase and take control of this easy-to-use online presence. Tennessee goes into tomorrow’s game against Florida as a 28 point underdog. Given these odds, I can’t imagine anyone in the media picking the Vols. What about you, the fans? What is your gut feeling for tomorrow’s outcome:

I for one don’t think things can get much worse than they have been in recent years. Fan apathy reached the highest levels I’ve ever seen last season, and UT Football was fading away from the national college football scene.
On the other hand, Coach Kiffin’s initial barbs as head coach served to re-energize the fanbase, and love it or leave it, they have put the Vols back in the national spotlight. As the Vols head to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators, here’s a roundup of recent UT Football national media attention: Read the rest of this entry »
